Welcome to Long Thread Psychotherapy, an integrative practice that incorporates art therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and spiritually integrated therapy for those who seek it. Please browse this site for information about different aspects of my practice, and reach out with any questions.
Why “long thread”? Before I became a therapist, I was a fiber artist. “Fiber,” as I think of it, involves the manipulation of linear elements. Those could be threads. They could also be narratives. As a psychodynamic therapist, I listen for the stories that create and are created by one’s lived experience, as stories are one way we organize and make sense of that experience.

Long Thread acknowledges that the process of unraveling and disentangling takes time. When people are seeking to create more meaningful, authentic lives, it often involves examining experiences of suffering, pain, and loss that have not been recognized or adequately tended. But we also uncover sources of joy and accomplishment that may have been overlooked or forgotten.
I am honored to accompany you on that journey.
